Born in the kitchen, raised on spice
Samsāra started in my kitchen with newborn twins, a pantry full of spices, and one question: why don't protein bars taste like real food?
After leaving tech to become a mother, I lived on bland protein bars while my mom brewed chai that tasted like home. I kept thinking: why can't what I have to eat be as good as what I want to eat? So between diaper changes, I started experimenting.
I created protein bars inspired by the bold flavors I grew up with: mango lassi, masala chai, warm spices roasted in a kadhai. Samsāra, Sanskrit for “the cycle of rebirth,” became proof that motherhood doesn't erase ambition. Even on three hours of sleep, you can build something meaningful.
What we believe
Flavor first
We start with flavors we actually crave, rooted in South Asian culinary traditions, and build the nutrition around them. Not the other way around.
No compromises
15g protein, 7g fiber, 0g added sugar. No sugar alcohols, no artificial sweeteners, no fillers. Real food, real numbers.
Total transparency
Every ingredient is listed, every claim is backed. We put our full nutrition panels online because we have nothing to hide.
Why “Samsāra”?
In Sanskrit, samsāra means the cycle of rebirth, the idea that endings become beginnings. For us, it's the moment a pantry staple becomes a protein bar. A kitchen experiment becomes a brand. A new mom becomes a founder. Every bar is a small act of reinvention.
